Christina Christensen has been a trainer in the San Francisco Bay Area for nine years, and an instructor at J.L Dixon Stables since February 2008. Previously she worked and trained overseas, specializing in show jumping and dressage. In England, she became certified by the British Horse Society while working for international dressage trainer David Pincus (former rider of the Spanish Riding School, and former assistant to the late Reiner Klimke). Following her training and certification, Chrissy went on to ride for Olympic Show Jumper Ludo Philippearts at his stud farm in Belgium. Her work prior to traveling overseas included managing her own training business and riding school in Scotts Valley, California as well as being the assistant trainer to Isola Stables in Portola Valley. She is a certified instructor of the Certified Horseman’s Association, in addition to being a Bachelor of Science Major in Environmental Studies at San Jose State University. As a lifelong resident of the Bay Area, she is thrilled to be working locally again, and looks forward to learning something new while continuing to develop upon her previous training.
