JL Dixon Stable News

The show season officially started at Monterey Springfest, April
14-17th
, with beautiful weather and top ribbons. Sue Valley opened her home to us for a wonderful cocktail party on Wednesday night where everyone was able to socialize and enjoy great food and drinks.

On Thursday, Jennifer showed Annie, Reedan's Designed to Dance, in the Junior/Limit Park class and marched out of the ring with a blue ribbon.

Jennifer returned to the ring as the crowd favorite a few classes
later with Gen Hess' newly acquired Your Lucky Stars for a strong
second place finish. Sue Valley and her always adorable Too Attached were second and Amanda Vinson and Wizard's Icon were fourth in a very competitive Adult Country Pleasure Class. Later on Thursday afternoon, birthday boy Ethan and CHA Magic Spell put on one of their best performances yet in the Juvenile 3-Gaited Show Pleasure class and came out of the ring with a second place. Friday brought more great rides from Jennifer and our two academy riders, Mimi Sanicola and Ava Bender. Mimi and Mr. Snapple added another red ribbon to the banner in the academy WTC equitation class. Jennifer and Annie were captivating in the Park Championship and trotted off with a fourth place finish. Ava and Hank wrapped up the day's performance with a powerful second place finish in the academy WT equitation class.

Saturday was a busy day of championships for JL Dixon Stable. Sue and Too Attached were Reserve Grand Champions in the Adult Country Pleasure class. In the same class, Amanda and Wizard's Icon came in fourth with a well executed ride. Ethan and Blondie returned to the ring as Reserve Grand Champions in the Juvenile Show Pleasure Championship where Ethan was the crowd favorite, tipping his hat to the judge. Mimi and Mr. Snapple took a victory pass in the Academy Pleasure WTC class after a flawless performance. They returned to the ring in the afternoon for the Championship with a third place finish after another great ride. Ava and Hank were third in both their Academy Walk and Trot Pleasure classes, each ride stronger and more
confident than the next.

A great time was had by all exhibitors, family, and friends. JL Dixon
Stable is looking forward to another fabulous showing at Woodside in a few weeks!

JL Dixon Stable does have space available in our training program. Come by for a tour and see the new GGT Footing in both arenas.
